Zohar Sharon is the Chief Knowledge Officer of the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality. He attained a Public Administration master’s degree and a Social Work baccalaureate at the Tel Aviv University.
Previously served as Social Services municipal planning and information director and later became among the earliest worldwide appointments as chief knowledge officer of the municipality. Zohar won several national Knowledge Management awards.
Today he is in charge for all knowledge management processes in Tel Aviv Municipality, for the municipal website and for Tel-Aviv Municipality Digital transformation. Zohar is also a Digital Leader in the national program “Digital Israel”, as part of this program he is helping Israel municipalities to carry out their Digital transformation.
Zohar is founder of “DigiTel” Residents Club, which helped Tel Aviv receive the 2014 World’s Smartest City Award at Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress.
“DigiTel” is a comprehensive project geared at enhancing civic engagement by facilitating a direct connection between the City and the resident. Within this endeavor, leading a profound shift in City Hall, making municipality services more accessible using information-based technology.
